Gene3D Protein superfamily, family and sub-cluster codes

CATH Domain Code
CATH structural domains are assigned to sequences via sequence homology using HMMs.
Example: G3DSA:1.25.20.10
Pfam Domain Accession or Pfam Domain ID
Pfam functional domains are imported into BioMap via the publically available Pfam to UniProt mapping.
Example: PF07876 or Dabb
COG and KOG
Each COG consists of individual proteins or groups of paralogs from at least 3 lineages and thus corresponds to an ancient conserved family.
Example: COG0515

NCBI Taxon ID: (Press Enter to search)

Searching with an NCBI Taxon IDs (e.g. 9606) will return a summary of annotation and links to downloadable files containing complete Gene3D annotation for that species.

The COG website has been broken since the beginning of July, so all links to specific COG entities are not working.
